We've rolled out a major update to the MedScout mobile app. Here's everything that's changed and what it means for your day in the field.

A smarter way to discover, built for mobile

We've upgraded how you discover opportunities on mobile. In place of the original Discovery experience, mobile now runs on Scout AI and AI Search, a more capable, AI-driven experience purpose-built for real-time, location-based use in the field. Tap Search Nearby and prompt Scout in your own words to surface who's nearby and relevant, faster and more intuitive than ever.

Watch to learn more:

The original Discovery experience remains available on the web version of MedScout, unchanged, for when you need it there. Now, you can use AI Search there too.

Routing: no more 10-stop limit

Routes used to be capped at 10 stops, the same limit Google Maps and Apple Maps enforce. Seeing everyone in an area often meant building multiple routes or trimming your list.

Now:

  • Plan your entire day. Log your visit and MedScout hands you off to the next stop in your phone's map app, with room for up to 120 stops on a single route.

  • One-tap route building. Frame the area on the map, tap once, and every opportunity on screen becomes a new route. Choose one-way or round trip.

  • Route from a List. You can also build a route directly from any list using "Add all to route."

  • Route history. Routes are reusable and carry history forward. Every stop shows its last visit date and note, and you can close out a route and run it again later.

Advancing your route

Logging a visit (an activity type plus a note) now marks the stop complete and advances you to the next stop. This is intentional: it's what keeps your visit history and route notes complete for the next time you run that route. It's one extra step, but it means the context is always there when you need it.

One map, every strategy

Previously, you could only view one strategy's opportunities at a time and had to switch between them to see the full picture.

Now:

  • Every opportunity across all your strategies shows in one view by default.

  • You can still select a single strategy to see its volume columns.

  • On the map, opportunities are labeled with the strategy they belong to and filter to your current view.

This matches how you actually work in the field, by territory, not by strategy.

A refreshed provider profile

The provider profile has been reorganized for faster access to what matters most before a call:

  • "Overview" is now "Details."

  • "Top Locations" and "Top Providers" are now their own dedicated tabs.

  • Scout AI is now profile-aware. Ask a question about the provider you're viewing without needing to restate who they are.

Same information, same actions, just laid out to get you to the useful context faster.

FAQs

Do I need to update the app to use the new AI features?

Yes. The new capabilities are only available in the latest version of the app.

What happened to Discovery?
On mobile, Discovery has been upgraded to a more capable, AI-driven experience: Scout AI and AI Search, built specifically for real-time, location-based use in the field. The original Discovery experience is still available on web.

Is there really no stop limit anymore?
Correct. MedScout now navigates one stop at a time and hands off to the next automatically, so your route can be as long as your day.

Why do I have to log a visit before moving to my next stop?
Logging is what advances your route now. It keeps your visit history complete and shows each stop's last visit and note the next time you run it.

Did my provider profile change what I can do?
No, same information and actions, just reorganized so the most useful pre-call context is at the top.

Can I still see my Lists?
Lists aren't yet shown as pins on the unified map. In the meantime, use "Add all to route" from any list to build an optimized route.
