Navigating Searches in MedScout

A Step-by-step guide on how to run Searches in MedScout.

1. Click on Select a Territory.

It is ideal to select a Territory first when performing a search, but MedScout will also return results if 'Select a search' is clicked initially.

Click on Select a Territory.

2. Click on the Territory you'd like to search.

'Map without Territory' is a quick way to run a search across the entire US. Refer to Creating Territories in MedScout' if you'd like steps on how to '+Add a Territory'.

Click on the Territory you'd like to search.

3. Click on the 'Select a search' drop down menu to display 'Company Wide' and saved 'Personal' searches.

4. Select a search.

For this example, we're running a 'Prostate Cancer Diagnosis search' but feel free to run anything in the list.

5. Use the Search Panel to add any additional codes or filters like 'Payer', 'Provider Specialties', Year, etc.

6. If you've customized your search by adding additional codes or filters and would like to create a 'Personal' saved search, use the 'Save As' button.

7. MedScout will now run your search with filters applied, if any were selected.

*Click back into the map to collapse the Search Panel.
