Written by Shaina Smolowe

Overview

MedScout Territory Analytics are a suite of features designed to help give sales leaders the insights required to effectively manage, develop, and execute within their territories.

MedScout offers two solutions in this area:

Territory Analytics:

Overview of your existing territories and how they stack up

Territory Creation:

Real-time insights as you build your territories to help put geography into context

General Navigation

To navigate to MedScout Territory Analytics, simply click the below button or use the primary application navigation via Territory → Analytics:

Territory Table

Use the above image and below legend to help orient yourself within the Territory Analytics Table:

  1. Territory Name

  2. Assigned - Whether or not this territory is considered canonical (think of this like a 'Primary' territory)

  3. Owner - The owner of the territory on your team

  4. Saved Search Volumes - The collection of Saved Searches applied to the table and their cumulative volume in a given territory (see below for more information on controlling this area)

Toolbar

Providers vs Centers: Toggling this switch between providers and centers will update the volume metrics on the right side of the table to reflect volume attributed to providers and centers respectively.

Columns: Click on the 'Columns' button to control what columns are hidden and shown in the table. You will be able to add any Saved Search to this table from the columns view for further analysis

Export: Export the current view and all of its data into CSV or Excel format

Trend: Clicking 'Trend' will toggle the Saved Search Volume columns between total numeric representation and a trend line over all years available

Search: Use this search box to narrow the table to a specific territory name

Territory Dashboard

So far we have covered the power of the Territory Analytics table, but wait there's more!

To open the Territory Dashboard for a given territory Simply click on the territory name:

  1. Territory Analytics Summary

In this section, you have summary metrics about your territory. This includes a summation of volume for all selected Saved Searches under the 'Total Volume' header.

  2. Territory Analytics Insights

As you see in this example, we have two lines per graph. These lines represent selected Saved Searches that are present on the Territory Table. To hide or show a given line on the graphs you can click on a Saved Search name in the upper right hand corner of the Insights area.

    Commercial Volume Trends
This graph depicts total volume year over year for all selected Saved Searches where the payer is considered 'Commercial' (think private health insurance)

    Medicare/Medicaid Volume Trends
Just like the Commercial Volume trends above but scoped to Medicare and Medicaid payers.

    Unique Providers/Centers Trends
This graph shows unique providers/centers over time that meet the Saved Search criteria.
Pro Tip: Using the Provider vs Center toggle on the territory table will change this graph to reflect providers or centers respectively.

Tip!

Clicking the 'open in new window button' shown below will allow you to print off this dashboard as a PDF straight from your browser!
